In this modern era, the written word has become a ubiquitous form of communication — whether through online content, social media posts or even text messages. Opening Tuesday, October 3, 2017, Aaron Faber Gallery’s Fall exhibition, Messages: Jewelry Speaks, 17 celebrated jewelry artists explore the use of text in jewelry, creating commissioned pieces that define a reality and express emotions, all the while celebrating the written word.

“Jewelry has always been a medium of communication, of status and group identity. Jewelry is also among artists a medium to express their own musings, ideas and wishes.   For this exhibition, we invited a wide group of studio jewelers and designers to submit works that literally speak to a wider audience.”

— Patricia Faber, curator and co-owner of Aaron Faber Gallery.

The exhibition will be held at Aaron Faber’s 666 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY location through October 28, 2017, traveling to the SOFA Chicago Exposition from November 3 to 5, 2017.
